“I find it important; making art accessible to more people in the world as possible. Projects like that allowed me to reach an audience that I would not have access working only with the paintings. Art is communication,” says Lobo.
The brand licensing is a great opportunity for the artists who are the copyright holders, and for the companies that develop products and want add more value to them through the application of artwork techniques, branding or images.
Lobo’s art has grown over the past few years, requests for copyrights and brands usage, have increased steadily.
Art licenses are growing with a wide variety of products. The possibilities are numerous! A company usually licenses a brand (with signature of a known artist) when plans to add value to its product and strengthen the relationships with the public. Also licensed products bind the trust to the brand and increase the confidence to the manufacturer. Overall, when the license is well chosen and the product well promoted, the result of a licensing program reflects on the sales and it could be up to 20% higher, according to the Brazilian Association of Licensing. That means a lot to the company that sees its profitability increasing to the conventional products.
