August is symbolic month for the pop culture.
That’s because we celebrate two of its greatest representatives in life and in death. The diva Madonna turned 56 years old on the 16th; while on the 5th, Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) the 36th anniversary of her death.
Located on Rua Oscar Freire, one of the most popular streets in Sao Paulo, Romero Britto Gallery hosts “M – Marilyn to Madonna” exposition; which honors the two muses of yesterday and today.
There are more than 30 paintings produced especially for the show by artists like Romero Britto, Lobo, José Gonçalves, Sami Akl, Milena Barberis, Newton Mosque and Adriana Bertini.
All works on display are for sale and part of the proceeds will go to NGO Food Bank.
